SMB AI Business Briefing & Market Engagement Plan

My recommendation for engaging our existing customer base, positioning Build Safely in business-owner language, and using the AI Night Shift as a signature proof point.

Prepared by Greg Elmore for discussion with Kuk Yi · July 2026
Executive recommendation. I believe we should reintroduce the short customer briefing model that worked well for me in the past: a recurring 15-minute owner-focused session, supported by email follow-up and personal outreach. The content should not teach technology. It should help business owners understand where AI can improve their business, where it may create risk, and how they can remain in control. The AI Night Shift should be used as a recurring proof story inside this program, amplified through LinkedIn and supported by a concise case study.

1. The Audience and the Message

Right Audience

Business owners and operating leaders

  • Owners, presidents and CEOs
  • CFOs, controllers and managing partners
  • Operations leaders and practice managers
  • Leaders accountable for revenue, cost, risk and customer experience
Not the Focus

Technical education

  • No deep discussion of models, pipelines or architecture
  • No technology-first explanation of governance
  • No assumption that the owner needs to understand how we implement it
  • The technical work stays behind the business outcome
Airiam helps business owners determine where AI can create measurable value, understand where it may expose the company, and maintain control as AI begins taking action. Proposed market position

2. Recommended Customer Engagement Model

Primary Format

15-minute live briefing

A short, recurring executive briefing on one business question. The goal is to be useful enough to earn the owner's attention and focused enough to create a natural follow-up conversation.

Amplifier

Email and recording

Email drives attendance. The recording and a short takeaway extend the reach to people who could not attend. The live session remains the center because it creates engagement and visible intent.

Conversion

Personal follow-up

The follow-up is where the opportunity is created. Attendees, question-askers and relevant non-attendees should receive personal outreach tied to the specific business issue discussed.

Proposed series name

The 15-Minute AI Business Brief

Tagline: Get more from AI. Protect the business. Stay in control.

Service platform underneath: Airiam Build Safely

3. Session Structure

1
Why the owner should care

A recognizable business issue, not a technology trend.

2
Business example

A process involving revenue, capacity, customer service, cost or risk.

3
Owner decision framework

A simple way to think about the issue and ask better questions internally.

4
One next step

One clear review or conversation, not a broad sales pitch.

Recommended timing: approximately 2 minutes on the issue, 5 minutes on an example, 4 minutes on the decision framework, 2 minutes on a demonstration or visual, and 2 minutes on the next step.

4. Recommended First Four Briefings

Session Owner-Facing Topic Business Purpose Natural Next Step
1 Is Your Business Actually Getting Value from AI? Separate AI activity from measurable business value. Focus on revenue, employee capacity, speed, customer experience, decision quality and avoidable cost. AI Business Opportunity Review
2 How Much Should You Let AI Decide on Its Own? Explain the difference between AI that recommends and AI that takes action. Introduce business-defined limits, confirmation, approval and prohibited actions. AI Authority and Control Conversation
3 Could AI Be Exposing Your Business Without You Knowing? Show practical risks: sensitive information, personal accounts, customer communications, unowned automations and tools with more access than leadership realizes. AI Business Risk Check / Build Readiness
4 Could You Prove Your AI Is Under Control? Help owners understand what clients, insurers, auditors and regulators may expect them to demonstrate about authority, approval, policy and evidence. AI Control and Evidence Review

A later bonus session can address whether the company is paying for AI without knowing what it is getting. I do not recommend putting cost or model selection in the first four because it is less differentiated.

5. How the AI Night Shift Should Be Used

The Night Shift should become one of our signature proof stories. It demonstrates that we are not merely advising customers about AI; we are operating AI in a way that adds capacity while preserving accountability.
Primary Use

Inside the briefing series

Use the Night Shift as evidence in Sessions 1 and 2. It shows both measurable business potential and bounded authority in one story.

Amplification

LinkedIn

Use short posts to create curiosity around overnight capacity, prepared decisions and human control. LinkedIn should point toward the briefing or a conversation, not carry the full explanation.

Sales Support

One-page case study

Package the pilot into a concise business case study for account managers, proposals, website content, conferences and follow-up discussions.

6. Night Shift Positioning

What we should say

  • Useful work can continue between business days.
  • The morning team starts with prepared decisions, not an untouched backlog.
  • Work is tested, structured and reversible.
  • Consequential actions remain under human authority.
  • The business gains capacity without giving AI unlimited control.

What we should avoid

  • Presenting it as simply “AI working overnight.”
  • Leading with technical implementation details.
  • Claiming measured productivity gains before we have time-tracked evidence.
  • Using language that suggests autonomous production changes.
  • Positioning it as a standalone product before scope and pricing are repeatable.

Recommended market phrase

Governed Overnight Productivity

The differentiator is not the clock. The differentiator is that work is bounded, verified, reversible, escalated appropriately and held for accountable human approval.

7. Example Night Shift Story for Business Owners

What if your team arrived each morning with part of yesterday's backlog already analyzed, tested and prepared for decision?

We have been piloting an AI Night Shift that works between shifts. It reviews authorized work, prepares reversible drafts, runs verification checks and escalates decisions for human approval.

The important part is not that AI worked overnight. The important part is that it increased productive capacity without receiving uncontrolled authority.

AI should be able to work while leadership remains in control.

8. Proposed Follow-Up Offers

Briefing Topic Owner-Facing Offer Likely Internal Service Path
Business value AI Business Opportunity Review Professional services, process assessment or proof of value
Authority and control AI Authority and Control Conversation Governed Operations discovery
Current exposure AI Business Risk Check Build Readiness
Evidence and accountability AI Control and Evidence Review Launchpad, Governed Operations or regulated overlay

Externally, customers are buying visibility, direction, protection and control. The technical discovery, pipeline, monitoring and governance capabilities remain the delivery mechanism rather than the sales language.

9. Measures of Success

Engagement

  • Customer accounts represented
  • Owner and executive attendance
  • Questions and poll responses

Conversion

  • Business reviews scheduled
  • Build Readiness opportunities
  • Professional-services pipeline

Recurring Revenue

  • Launchpad conversions
  • Governed Operations opportunities
  • Revenue influenced by briefing topic

Attendance alone should not be the primary success measure. A small session that produces qualified owner conversations is more valuable than a large passive audience.

10. Decisions I Would Like to Make with Kuk

1. Approve a four-session pilot
Run the 15-Minute AI Business Brief with our existing customer base on a consistent weekly or biweekly schedule.
2. Confirm owner-level positioning
Use business outcomes, risk and control as the public language. Keep architecture and technical implementation behind the scenes.
3. Approve the Night Shift as a signature proof story
Use it inside briefings, on LinkedIn and in a one-page case study, while clearly qualifying modeled productivity estimates.
4. Assign account follow-up ownership
Define who personally follows up with attendees and how activity is captured in the sales process.
5. Establish a conversion path
Align the owner-facing reviews with Build Readiness, Launchpad, Governed Operations and related professional services.

11. Recommended Closing Position

Use AI to improve the business, but remain clear about what it can access, what it can decide and what it is allowed to do. Airiam owner-facing message
